Concerns about the safety of Christians residing in communities close to the Nigerian border have been raised again after two Christians were abducted in northern Cameroon in the most recent attack, which was blamed on Boko Haram militants. The two Christians are said to have been abducted in August. 10 when militants assaulted the Mayo-Sava Division village of Mahoula, according to Open Doors UK and Ireland. Two distinct churches are affiliated with the victims.
According to Open Doors, Christian families have been living in constant fear due to kidnappings, raids, killings, looting, and property destruction caused by Boko Haram and associated militant groups. The group did not specify whether a ransom demand had been made or give the names of the two abducted Christians. The most recent kidnappings coincide with Christian leaders in northern Cameroon describing a community that is dealing with the psychological and spiritual fallout from years of violence in addition to physical insecurity.
Pastor Babien, a church leader from nearby Amchidé, told Open Doors that Christians in the area face regular kidnappings, se-xual assaults and attacks on church property.
*In the locality of Amchidé, the church is going through many difficulties,” he said.

*The pastor said the repeated violence was beginning to affect the faith and morale of believers.
*I would also like you to pray for us that our faith will not fail,” he said. “Because given these trials, at some point the flesh tells us to let go.”
His remarks highlight the insecurity’s broader effects. The threat to Christians in the Far North goes beyond isolated assaults. Families have been uprooted, livelihoods have been disturbed, and churches have been compelled to function in a setting where militants can suddenly attack communities.
