Salvation Ministry Launches  New Head Quarter Church Building Called (The Hand of God Cathedral)

The new building represents more than just a physical structure; it is a symbol of dedication, perseverance, sacrifice and God’s faithfulness. For the congregation!  The Hand of God Cathedral in Igwuruta, situated along Airport Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, features a 120,000-seat capacity and is constructed with five wings that mimic an open hand, with its building process taking several years.

The facility is equipped with hundreds of toilets and provides ample parking space. The church celebration today  is a moment of thanksgiving and reflecting the ministry’s continued commitment to creating an environment where people can gather to worship, pray, learn the Word of God and experience spiritual transformation. Bishop David Oyedepo is among the participants at the dedication ceremony.

The launch of the new church building is also an important step towards expanding the ministry’s capacity to accommodate more worshippers and provide an atmosphere conducive to fellowship, discipleship and other Christian activities.

Church buildings have always played an important role in the growth of Christian communities. Beyond providing a place for Sunday services, they serve as centres for prayer meetings, Bible studies, evangelism, community outreach and other programmes aimed at strengthening the faith of believers and reaching those seeking a relationship with God.

For Salvation Ministry, this new development represents an opportunity to take its mission to greater heights while continuing to impact lives through the message of salvation, hope and the love of Christ.

The achievement also highlights the importance of collective commitment, as church development projects often require years of planning, financial contributions, hard work and the support of dedicated members and partners.

As the ministry celebrates this remarkable achievement, expectations will undoubtedly be high for the new facility to become a centre of spiritual revival, transformation and positive community impact.

The Bible reminds believers in Psalm 127:1: “Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labour in vain.”

The launch is therefore not just a celebration of a completed building but an opportunity to acknowledge God’s grace and faithfulness throughout the journey.
